New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson topped the list of luxury deals in 2008 with a $4.4 million home he bought. Saints defensive end Will Smith bought a Kenner home from novelist Anne Rice, after he signed the largest contract in team history. Also on the list: Hollywood royalty Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and political consultants James Carville and Mary Matalin.
