President recalls Katrina response as 'pretty quick'


President George W. Bush took a trip down memory lane in his final scheduled news conference. While he conceded mistakes in the government's response to Hurricane Katrina, he rejected criticism that federal action was slow and ineffective.

"Don't tell me the federal response was slow when there was 30,000 people pulled off roofs right after the storm passed, " Bush said.
