Reports from the Business Report and WAFB indicate a $350 million chemical plant will be built along the Mississippi River in Iberville Parish.
Located on River Road near White Castle, it is reportedly expected to create up to 500 permanent jobs, with an average annual salary of $57,400.
The company, SNF Floerger SAS, is based in France. The only facility they currently operate in the United States is in Savannah, Georgia.
