Michael Jackson, an entertainer known throughout the world as "The King of Pop," died today in Los Angeles at age 50, according to various media reports.
As WWL reports, fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy award-winner Allen Toussaint remembered Jackson as "pure genius."
Toussaint recalled meeting Jackson and his siblings in New Orleans' Municipal Auditorium back in 1979.
