WDSU: David Letterman has never shied away from making jokes about politicians caught in sex scandals.
After Louisiana Sen. David Vitter's phone number was found among those called by an escort service, Letterman joked that Vitter had paid one girl "with a new highway project."
When asked by The Associated Press for comment, Vitter's office declined.
