The Rally for Economic Survival was held today in the Cajundome in Lafayette. The rally was in opposition to the deepwater drilling moratorium. Lieutenant Governor Scott Angelle helped spearhead it.
Gov. Bobby Jindal said the "arbitrary moratorium" could cost the region hundreds of thousands of jobs.
