New Orleans Saints top Minnesota Vikings, 14-9

ESPN: Drew Brees and the Saints extended New Orleans' post-Super Bowl euphoria for at least another week and handed Brett Favre a second straight loss in the Louisiana Superdome.
Washington Post: The Saints didn't pile up too many style points, but they did get their bid for a proper encore to last season's stirring Super Bowl title off to a victorious start.
Shreveport Times: It lacked the glitz and glamour of all the pre-game parades, pomp and championship banner circumstance, but the Super Bowl champion Saints sweated out and earned an atypical 14-9 win over Minnesota.
AP: Another big game for the New Orleans Saints, and another refusal from Gov. Bobby Jindal’s office to talk about who watched from the governor’s private suite at the Superdome.
